Daily Responsibilities:

LTC Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the further development of an Authoritative Data Environment for the Department of the Navy in the Washington, DC area.


The desired candidate will develop Knowledge Management (KM) solutions that address business requirements and that align with company/customer knowledge management and IT standards.


Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience gathering requirements from the customers and communicating these with developers. 
  • Proficient managing enterprise solutions involving the latest version of SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 
  • Work consists of managing solution development, designing and conducting customer surveys, studies and process improvement recommendations of effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.
  • Subject Matter Expert providing a thorough understanding of Knowledge Management concepts, processes, tools and methodologies and how they best meet customer requirements. Experience in leveraging Knowledge Management technologies, in disseminating knowledge products and services to an audience of military, civilians and contractors. 
  • Uses initiative, judgment and originality in researching and interpreting existing processes, policies and directives in order to recommend solutions. 
  • Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and designs KM systems.
  • Writes or updates software specifications and KM governance. 
  • Performs quality assurance review of specifications for internal and external delivery. 
  • Monitors system effectiveness in satisfying user needs. The Business Analyst will be required to meet with stakeholder to gather requirements as well as understand and apply the technologies that meet those requirements.
  • Manage current knowledge management practices and design new knowledge distribution policies while promoting the use of new knowledge management practices to ensure knowledge flows efficiently between the internal teams and external clients.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of the knowledge management programs by observing and documenting usage and evaluating its impact in terms of client benefits.
  • Interact with the internal team members and clients to answer queries about the knowledge management products and practices.
  • Design and develop training modules as needed to help the internal team and client to understand and access the knowledge management tools.
  • Strengthen connections between internal team members and clients to aid information exchange within the systems.
  • Strong communication skills and expert planning skills.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training or work experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience


Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in working with the Agile Scrum Framework, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work on a fast paced continuous delivery team to meet the changing needs of the clients and internal teams.

Daily Responsibilities:

LTC Solutions is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to support the further development of an Authoritative Data Environment for the Department of the Navy in the Washington DC area. The Business Analyst will be required to lead the Business Process Team ensuring stakeholder requirements are understood and the appropriate resources are applied to meet those requirements.

  • Act as the liaison between the Operations and Development teams to translate stakeholder needs into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria using the Agile Scrum Framework.
  • Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, review of program documentation to assure government standards and requirements are adhered to, and for progress in accordance with schedules. 
  • Coordinate with the User Experience and Support Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. 
  • Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. 
  • Work as part of a team under the Agile Scrum Framework and Waterfall methodologies as needed. Will work across multiple teams internal to GDIT and external to multiple customers
  • Participates in the tracking and management of open issues and assists in planning for resolution.
  • Maintain communications with technical counterparts and end users as progress is made on problem resolution.
  • Reviews, edits, analyze and create detailed documentation of systems and user needs.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate for development activities.
  • Conduct demonstrations to stakeholders & review stakeholder testing issues, coordinate corrections with development team
  • Participates in the development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.
  • Identifies and recommends emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Reviews project documentation including system procedures and training materials.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
  • Orchestrate fact-finding to determine customer goals, examine and define the requirements necessary for meeting those goals
  • Evaluate the resources necessary for meeting the end user needs and identify any potential obstacles.
  • Evaluate project scope, cost, feasibility and address questions concerning whether or not the project organization has the technological capabilities and expertise to achieve end user needs.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
